The churches of Heald Green have opened a Internet Café and coffee shop to serve and support every member of the community from young to old - open to everyone who lives in Heald Green or just visits.
It’s a place of community. A place where mums can come to drink tea, coffee, or soft drinks and learn new computer skills or brush up on existing skills whilst their son or daughter plays in the child safe toddler area. A place for teenagers to meet during the late afternoon and evening to chat, to surf the net, to be warm and comfortable and even learn new skills or work in a homework club. A place where shoppers can take a break and just sit to prepare for the next round of shopping or wait for the next bus or a lift home. A place for older people to enjoy time with friends, to call in and make new friends or to learn how to use these new-fangled things called computers. A place for the whole community a way to recover and rediscover a Community Spirit in Heald Green, but above all a place of Christian witness and outreach.

And as you relax be assured that wherever possible all our goods our Fairly Traded as we support those in the developing world.
So what can you do to help in this work?
You can volunteer to serve in the shop
You can help us financially by becoming a “Friend of Café Unity” and making a regular donation of say £5 a month. In this way you will support the work and receive a discount on our drinks You can just come in and enjoy a drink and you can bring others and show them what’s happening here in Heald Green.
