House Groups

 

These are groups of people who meet together each week (or fortnight). Each group decides its own programme. Some follow a course of Bible Study. Some have videos on a special topic for discussion. Some have booklets to help their discussion on a special theme. Their purpose is to help their members understand the Christian faith and how it applies to us in Heald Green.

In some groups the leader is the same each week. In others the leadership is shared. No one has to speak if they don't want to. All opinions can be expressed and there is no question which can't be asked - even if there is no clear answer.

There are currently five groups, each with upwards of seven members. One group meets in the afternoon and others in the evenings. During Lent, members of this church meet with those in other local churches for ecumenical Bible Study.
