MINISTER’S WELCOME

We are an open and friendly bible based church of about 40 members who we are committed to sharing the love of Jesus to everyone in our community. We believe that God’s offer of unconditional love and the way it can transform lives needs to be available to everyone.

OUR VISION

To provide a fellowship in which opportunities are offered for people to worship, to enter into and grow in faith and to care for one another.
To introduce others to the transforming love of Christ by demonstrating in our own lives His self-giving love for all people.
To meet with and serve the local community and to support the Worldwide Mission.

CHURCH HISTORY

The first Methodist service in Heald Green began on 14th October 1928 at Long Lane Institute, used by local men as a club (where the social club now stands). In 1935 a new Methodist chapel was built on the site where the existing church is today. In 1963 the church as we know it today was built. So formal Christian worship in Heald Green has been taking place now for almost a 100 years.
